Always see more good than bad. That’s it.
Yes there is “bad” in the world, but there is also GOOD! And when you start seeing the world more as GOOD than as bad, then the more GOOD it becomes! It becomes a self-reinforcing process, or a virtuous circle of positive effects that feed into each other. When the bad times are bad, you know the next good times are right around the corner and going to be longer-lasting. Is knowing that really the main thing from stopping depression? It could be.
At times I’ve thought skeptically or suspiciously at certain things in life.
There’s always an easy excuse for you to see almost anything in a negative light.
“It’s a holiday invented to support capitalist greed.”
“My employer is making me clock-in/clock-out so they can control me.”
“That story is probably fake, anyway, the media makes money by selling fear.”
But it doesn’t have to be that way. You can see things in a new light, and in doing so, support your well-being and overall outlook on life.
“It’s an opportunity to showcase our love, and we can celebrate it in our own way.”
“My employer wants to know when I am working more than 8 hours, so they can pay me overtime and ensure I’m not working too much.”
“The journalist has some impressive stories under their belt, and this could be something worth looking into more in order to protect myself.”
There’s always two sides of the coin.
How do you see it?
